Education and clinical training conference

Due to events related the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have decided to postpone the MRP Conferences scheduled for

• Sydney - Tuesday, 17th March 2020, and
• Melbourne - Monday, 30th March 2020

We will advise of future dates for the conference when the COVID-19 outbreak has subsided.

Conference on new Accreditation standards and new Professional capabilities for medical radiation practice.

The Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) and the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee (MRPAC) are jointly hosting a free conference in Sydney on Tuesday 17th March 2020 from 9am to 4pm.

From 1 March 2020 the Professional Capabilities for medical radiation practice (the Capabilities) and the Accreditation Standards for medical radiation practice (Accreditation Standards) will come into effect. The conference will provide information about the new requirements and provide an opportunity to explore some of the considerations for education providers and clinical supervisors.

Additionally, we will be focusing on the critical role that education providers and clinical supervisors play in preparing and developing the medical radiation practice workforce.

We are encouraging lecturers, educationalists, clinical educators / supervisors and registered practitioners who teach and assess students to come along and find out more about these aspects of medical radiation practice and regulation.

As well as discussing the new Capabilities and the Accreditation Standards, the conference will cover:

• Aspects of the new Accreditation standards and Professional capabilities
• Assessing capability
• Interprofessional education, and
• Discussion session

Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
