Incoming Chair and co-Deputy Chair of the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee announced

New appointments to the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee have been announced by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.

Dr Louise McCall has been appointed Chair of the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee (the Accreditation Committee) while Ms.Jillian Harris and Dr Natalie Pollard have been appointed as co-Deputy Chairs. All incoming appointees will commence in their roles from 1 January 2023.

Current Chair, Professor Brian Jolly, and current Deputy Chair, Professor Sarah Lewis, will help in the transition of the new leadership team before completing their terms on 31 December 2022.

Ms. Cara Miller, Chair of the National Board said ‘The work of the Accreditation Committee is incredibly important and assures high quality education and training that produces skilled, knowledgeable and safe graduates for the medical radiation practice workforce.’

The Accreditation Committee has been appointed by the National Board to exercise accreditation functions for the profession. The Accreditation Committee includes clinical educators and academic members from the three divisions of medical radiation practice, Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islander medical radiation practitioners, and educationalists independent of the profession.
