Call for applications for appointment to the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee

The Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (the Board) is calling for applications from interested Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples for appointment to the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee (the Committee).

The role of the Committee is to:

  • develop accreditation standards for approval by the Board
  • assess, accredit and monito education providers and programs of study
  • ensure culturally safe practice is integrated in the design and implementation of programs, and
  • make recommendations and give advice to the Board.

Who should apply?

Applicants must have:

  • expertise in culturally safe healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and
  • demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

The National Scheme has an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.

To achieve this, we have committed to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leadership and voices on Boards and Committees and warmly invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to apply.
