2023 graduates of RMIT University’s Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) will be eligible to apply for general registration as a medical radiation practitioner.
At its March 2023 meeting, the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (the Board) considered an updated report from the Accreditation Committee on RMIT University’s Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) BP321 program.
After considering the Accreditation Committee’s report the Board updated its approval of RMIT University’s program of study and agreed that supervised practice conditions for graduates are no longer required. Individuals who graduate from the program after 27 March 2023 are eligible to apply for general registration.
Board approval of the RMIT University program ends on 30 November 2023. The Board will review updated accreditation information about the RMIT University program at the end of the year when the Accreditation Committee submits its next report.
A list of programs of study that have been approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia is published on the Approved programs of study page on the Ahpra website.
Information for graduates about how to apply for registration is on the Ahpra website.
