National Examination Committee

The Board formed the National Examination Committee in September 2013 and had its first meeting in January 2014.

Committee members are senior members of the medical radiation practice profession who have experience and knowledge of the professional capabilities required for general registration.. Committee members bring a range of skills and knowledge including experience in training, teaching, and assessment of professional capabilities.

The Committee is also advised by independent experts who specialise in large-scale assessment programs, test development, knowledge measurement, and psychometric analysis.

The role of the Committee is to

  • approve examinations
  • ensure the examination is an assessment of contemporary professional and ethical medical radiation practice that aligns with the Board’s capabilities statements for medical radiation practitioners
